Bangalore's
first
URU GAMES is Bangalore's first hybrid fitness race at Agara Lake: a single continuous course combining running with two scored workout zones, chip-timed per zone and overall.
You start running. You arrive at a workout zone with your heart rate already up and the clock already running. You finish the work, you run again, and you do it a second time.
The course
The start
400 m · both categories
The gun goes and the course opens with a run. You arrive at Zone 1 with your heart rate already up and the clock already running.
Zone 1 · DB thrusters
Standard 25 · 7.5/5 kg each side
Elite 50 · 12.5/7.5 kg each side
Squat to overhead in one drive. Legs and lungs, straight off the run.
Zone 1 · KB swings
Standard 25 · 20/16 kg
Elite 50 · 24/20 kg
Russian swings. The hips do the work and your grip decides how long you last.
Zone 1 · DB rack walking lunges
Standard 20 m · 10/7.5 kg each side
Elite 20 m · 15/10 kg each side
Dumbbells in the rack, twenty metres of it, on legs that have already paid.
The long run
Standard 1.2 km
Elite 2.4 km
Back onto the course carrying everything Zone 1 took out of you. The longest stretch of the race.
Zone 2 · Burpees to plate
Standard 25
Elite 50
Chest down, plate touch, stand tall. The last thing between you and the finish.
Finisher Zone
Chip-timed
Recovery, hydration and awards. Chip times posted per zone and overall.
Loads are shown men / women. Both categories run the same course in the same order, differing only in reps, load and run distance.
Movement standards & judging
- A judge decides whether each repetition meets the prescribed standard.
- A rep that does not meet it is a NO REP. It does not count, and you repeat it.
- The movements: DB thrusters, Russian KB swings, DB rack walking lunges, burpees to plate.
- All equipment is provided. Use only event equipment, in the manner the rules prescribe.
- Standards are briefed and demonstrated before you race. Knowing them is on you.
- On judging calls, the judge's decision is final for the event, subject to the protest process.
Exactly what counts as a rep, movement by movement, is on the movement standards page. Category rules and safety requirements live in the Athlete Terms & Conditions.
Where it happens
Categories
Standard or Elite
Same course, same movements, same finish line. Elite doubles the reps, moves heavier and runs twice as far.
Each category is scored on four podiums: Standard Male, Standard Female, Elite Male and Elite Female. You pick your category at registration.
Standard
New to hybrid
Your first hybrid race, or your first in a long while. The whole course and every movement, at a volume built to be finished.
Elite
Raced hybrid before
If you have done one of these before, this is your category. Double the reps, heavier loads, twice the run. Standard will not give you a race.

Common questions
Do I need to be an athlete to enter?
No. Standard is the on-ramp. Both categories run the same course and the same movements, and differ in reps, load and run distance. If you have raced hybrid before, enter Elite.
What should I bring?
Yourself and your own kit. Every piece of race equipment is provided, and athletes use only event equipment, in the manner the rules prescribe.
What is a NO REP?
A repetition that does not meet the prescribed movement standard. A judge calls it, it does not count towards your total, and you repeat it.
What time do I report on race day?
Your reporting time comes by email. Wave times are set once registration closes, and the full race brief, including the course map and the movement standards for each zone, follows before race day.
Can I transfer my entry or change category?
Your registration is personal to you and is not transferable unless we expressly permit it. Transfers and category changes go through the official process, and there may be a deadline for those requests.
Are refunds available?
Registration fees follow the refund and cancellation policy published at the time you register. Not turning up on the day does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
What happens if it rains?
We may modify, shorten, delay, suspend or cancel any part of the event where that is reasonably necessary for safety, weather or venue conditions. If it is cancelled or postponed, refunds or alternative arrangements follow the published cancellation policy.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. You must be 18 or over on race day. Bring a government ID — you may be asked for it at check-in so we can check your identity and age.
What do finishers get?
Every finisher gets a URU Games finisher medallion, goodies from Protein Chef, cold brew shots from AEK Coffee, a Kaizen Klub day pass worth ₹1,500, and event pictures.
Will there be photos?
Yes. The event is photographed and filmed, and you may appear in event photos, videos and recaps.
How is the race timed?
Chip-timed per zone and overall, so you get a split for each workout zone as well as a finish time. Timing and ranking information is published as part of the event results.
